My Experience

I arrived at the hospital. Very much like the DMV, they asked for my account number and then asked me to fill out additional paperwork. (I did not have to pull a “next customer” ticket, however). Once processed, I was sent to a waiting room. There were many people there just like myself, waiting to have some type of procedure done.

They called my name, and I was sent to a dressing room to get disrobed for surgery. After changing into hospital garb, I was sent to the operating room, where I was prepped for the procedure. They cleaned the area where the biopsy was to be performed. The anesthesia was administered and the next thing I knew I was recovering from surgery and had no memory of the procedure.

Afterwards, I felt fine. I felt a little groggy, but was able to go home the same day. The area where they did the biopsy was a little sore for a while but within a few weeks everything healed nicely.

My Advice

I was real nervous going into the procedure, however, overall the experience was surprisingly low key. I had no memory of the procedure itself and a few days later felt almost 100 percent back to my old self.
