A C-section, or caesarean section, is the surgical delivery of a baby or babies via an incision into the abdomen and uterus.
Advice
Having confidence in, and a good relationship with, your surgeon is key, especially for a planned c-section where there may be more time to choose a surgeon.
Morphine may make you itch, so talk to the nurses or doctors if you find yourself itching.
If you have any issues with constipation, this has the potential to make things worse so talk to your doctor about treatment recommendations in the hospital and when you get back home.
